5 Places You Have to See When You’re a Student

30 May 2022

There’s a popular sentiment that you shouldn’t travel much when you’re a student, simply because traveling costs so much. However, this belief isn’t necessarily true. As a student, you can take advantage of the many student only promotions available to accommodate students.

Additionally, doing adequate research for each location will help you save on lodging, entertainment, food and more. Here are some of the destinations you can consider visiting as a student:

London, England

Although London is the capital of England, there are many ways to see the City on a student’s budget. Firstly, you’ll want to plan your travels so that you stay near an area with a lot of the attractions that interest you.

This way, you can spend less on transport and have great experiences walking from one spot to another. One such place is Kensington, where there are at least 3 museums you can visit for free i.e. the Victoria and Albert V&A, Science Museum, and National History Museum.

Accommodation can be as low as RM150- RM250 per night in this area too. Other areas for students on a budget include Westminster and London Bridge.

Manchester, England

Football fans may know Manchester as the home of several world renowned clubs, but the city has much to offer student travelers too. For starters, it is more affordable than many cities in England including London.

There’s currently a free bus service that runs from the Manchester Piccadilly station with routes that reach many points in the city, so you can save on transport.

There are plenty of things to see too, including free galleries and museums to visit like the Science and Industry Museum, the Pankhurst Centre and Manchester Art Gallery.
