Mayflower Enhances Strategic Inroad into Henan Province

November 1st. 2019 marked a memorable day for both Malaysia and China’s tourism cooperation with Mayflower Holidays Sdn. Bhd. signing a MOU in Zhengzhou, the Capital City Of  Henan Province with Henan CITIC International Travel Co. Ltd., which is fully owned by the CITIC Group, a huge conglomerate in China. The strategic cooperation involves inbound and outbound tours, corporate travelers, MICE and MM2H.


Jean Tung represented Mayflower and remarked that the strategic MOU will tap on the tourist potentials of the 109 million people in Henan Province. Malaysia has lots of tourism products to offer the land-locked Henan, especially our beautiful islands and resorts, natural rainforest attractions, and diverse culture and our fresh seafood, tropical fruits like durians and the much-loved bird nests.

 

Henan has many cultural relics and also the famous ‘Shaolin Temple’. Both companies will step up cooperation to increase tourist flows between Malaysia and Henan in conjunction with the Malaysia-China Year Of Cultural and Tourism Year In 2020, and enhance people to people exchange under the Belt & Road Initiative.”





The signing of the MOU was witnessed by YB Tan Kok Wai, Malaysia’s Special Envoy to China and Chairman Of the Malaysia Business Council who led a delegation of 70 business delegates to Henan Province.
