The Skyfarm

28-1 Yeoeuido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Heogwan 50th and 51st Floor, Seoul, South Korea

Dine in the Skyfarm is probably already on your list of things to do in Seoul. And if it isn’t, it should be. Dubbed ‘the most gorgeous cafe in Seoul with Han River view’, the Skyfarm housed on 50th and 51st Floor of the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) building. The building itself is a design marvel – a stunning wave of glass and metal in an urban sea and is perfectly decorated with greenery for the best selfies. The concept of this cafe is as literal as its name, the Skyfarm is a farm in the sky, though with a lot more additional elements which add to the glamourized yet tranquil ambience of this place. Perched high above the city, with a remarkable panoramic view of the famous Han River and surrounding Yeoeuido-dong, the Skyfarm serves up breakfast and brunch items from all around the world. If you head back to the elevator from which you came and look for a stairwell, there you will find another elevator that goes up to the 52nd floor to a quaint little indoor garden with different kinds of plants scattered across the area, soil and ferment included. Instagrammable, excellent service, stunning views and delicious dishes make this one a must-have on this list.

How to get there?

Take the subway to Yeouido Station (subway lines 5, 9) exit 2 and walk for approximately 10 minutes to reach the FKI building.

Zapangi

400-2 Mangwon-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea

If it is cute and quirky that you are looking for, it is Zapangi you need to hit up. Zapangi is a cafe where everything is designed with the Instagram-crowd in mind. Situated just a stone’s throw away from Mangwon Market, Zapangi – literally translating to ’vending machine’ in Korean – is known for their iconic brightly-lit pink vending machine door. After snapping the requisite picture with the famed door, head inside for even more kitsch. Zapangi’s quirkiness extends to its interior design and product presentation. Here, you can expect a range of mermaid cupcake served in a metallic tin, colourful doughnuts, coffee and their whimsical signature milk tea served in glass bottles. Basically, Zapangi is the perfect place for anyone who has a love for all things pretty or wants a dreamy picture to jazz up their Instagram feed.

Cafe Yeonnam-dong 239-20

239-20, Yeonnam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea

If you’re an optical illusion art fanatic or a selfie enthusiast, be sure to have your phone and camera ready to take pictures at the Cafe Yeonnam-dong 239-20. Inspired by the 2016 Korean drama series, “W – Two Worlds,” starring Lee Jong-suk and Han Hyo-joo, in which the characters clash between the real world and a fantasy world inside a webtoon, Cafe YND 239-20 quickly became Instagram hit thanks to its innovative and cute decor. The small yet cozy cafe looks like it’s straight out of a bizarre two-dimensional cartoon world. From the moment patrons cross the cafe’s doorstep, they are greeted with a striped black-and-white cartoonish aesthetic imbued on its walls, floors, and furniture. The cartoonish aesthetic is depicted even on its dishes, mugs, and cutlery. Whatever it is, it’s making Cafe YND 239-20 a likely candidate for the most stylish background in Instagram.
